Stay safe and listen to your body

A little muscle soreness a day or two after a workout is normal and fades. Sharp pain, dizziness or breathlessness beyond mild huffing is not — stop if you feel those. Drink water, give yourself rest days, and do not compare your day one to someone else's year three.
If you are over 40, very overweight, or have any heart, joint or other medical condition, get a quick green light from a doctor before starting a new exercise routine. It is a small step that buys peace of mind.
Keep it going
Motivation fades; systems last. To stay consistent:
- Fix a time — same slot each day makes it automatic.
- Track it simply — tick a calendar or note your reps to see progress.
- Pair it with something you like — music, a podcast, or a friend doing it too.
- Forgive missed days — one skip is nothing; just resume the next session.
